What is the best time of day to go to the dentist?

Tooth-hurty!

We are grateful for dentist jokes, but even more grateful for Dr. Graham E. Farless, DDS generously sponsoring the 2013 Kirkwood 5K.

Greensboro area residents trust Dr. Farless to meet the dental needs of their families. Generations of patients continue to come to Dr. Farless because they treat each patient with respect and integrity - like a member of their own family.

The Kirkwood 5K welcomes back Mountain Valley Spring Water as an in-kind sponsor of the 2013 race! Mountain Valley graciously donates all of those beautiful, ice-cold, green bottles that are handed to you as you cross the finish line.

America's oldest continually operating bottled water company, Mountain Valley has bottled its product since 1871 from a single natural spring source near Hot Springs, Arkansas. The company owns and protects 2,000 acres of forest land surrounding its spring. Those of us in North Carolina are fortunate enough to have a Mountain Valley location as close as the mountains of Asheville.

We've just received confirmation that Maxie B's Bakery & Dessert Café will be joining the Kirkwood 5K again in 2013 as a sponsor. As in the past, Maxie B's will generously donate 10% of their race day sales to BackPack Beginnings! Last year, this amounted to $730. Let's see if we can top that amount this year by running the race, then heading over to Maxie B's to replenish those lost calories with cakes & cupcakes.
