The K5K and BackPack Beginnings are thrilled that executive search firm Charles Aris returns for a third year as the title sponsor of the Kirkwood 5k. The firm’s commitment and dedication to supporting BackPack Beginnings and the race has been unparalleled in recent years. And in an uncanny coincidence, Charles Aris is slated to move into its new headquarters on August 28, the day before the race! The LEED-certified building will be located at 299 Greene St. in downtown Greensboro. So not only is the company supporting the local community, it is also continuing to promote growth and development in downtown Greensboro while showing a dedication to minimizing its carbon footprint and following the latest architecture trend of environmental mindfulness.
According to Vice President of Operations Allen Oakley, the company is “extremely excited about this year’s race. We want as many people as possible to come out for fun, exercise, socializing, and most importantly, to raise money for BackPack Beginnings.” Charles Aris remains a steadfast supporter of BackPack Beginnings because of the company’s shared belief in their core mission of providing children in need with nutritious food, comfort items, or basic necessities. This shared passion is the “primary reason that Charles Aris sponsors 100% of the costs of putting on the race, so that 100% of all funds raised through the K5K go directly towards BackPack Beginnings.”
So when you sign up for this year’s race, you can be proud to know that by paying your entry fee, you too are participating in supporting and contributing to BackPack Beginnings, the race is just a bonus! And it is all thanks to Charles Aris.
